Brommel Determination Against All Odds Scholarships (Open to Undergraduate Students in Any Major)
Purpose of Scholarship:
To recognize undergraduate students who have overcome tremendous odds, which may include financial, emotional, physical or mental challenges, family issues such as divorce, separation, abandonment or abuse (among others) in pursuit of higher education. Underrepresented students, including LGBTQ, students living on their own and struggling to attend NEIU, and students with special needs, are encouraged to apply.
Applicants must be enrolled full- or half-time with a minimum of six credit hours at Northeastern. Sophomore applicants must have completed a minimum of 30 hours by the end of current Spring semester; Juniors must have completed 60 or more hours by end of the current Spring semester. Senior applicants must have two or more semesters remaining prior to graduation to be eligible. Applicants must submit an essay as evidence of their determination to overcome circumstances in life. In addition, an essay and two letters of recommendation are required from (i.e. from NEIU faculty, advisors, mentors, health care professional, employer, clergy, family members or friends).

-Brommel Neiman Determination Against All Odds Scholarship ($1,200)
