Brommel-Ratner Scholarship in Music

This scholarship is available to one of the top students majoring in music at Northeastern Illinois University and who demonstrates great promise in voice performance or vocal education. Faculty members may nominate students. Students may ask a faculty member to nominate them, or may nominate themselves.
Applicants for this scholarship must meet the following criteria:
1. must be a junior or senior enrolled full-time or part-time for a minimum of six credit hours
2. junior applicants must have completed 90 or more credit hours by the end of the current spring semester
3. senior applicants must have two or more semesters remaining prior to graduation to be eligible
4. must perform an audition and will be judged on pitch and accuracy, rhythm, musicianship, diction (for singers only) and overall artistry

A panel of three to five members of the Music Department faculty who promote music education, voice, or piano talents will select the recipient of the scholarship.
