Communicating Sexualities Scholarship

This scholarship is available to students who meet the following criteria:
1. must have a declared major in one of these areas: Communication, Media and Theatre; Women and Gender Studies; Sociology; or have a declared minor in LGBTQ Studies
2. must be enrolled full-time or part-time at Northeastern Illinois University
3. must have registered for one of the following two classes for either the current academic year or the upcoming academic year: The Sociology of Sexualities OR Communication, Gender and Identity
4. must have a GPA of 3.0 or better
5. must submit a three-page, typed, double-spaced paper on the topic: “Why are you interested in studying gender, identity and/or sexualities?” Please address your experience of sex education in institutions and with authority figures (parents and families)
